Aghogho is a fisheries biologist and Ecologist with keen interest in conservation of natural resources. She uses writing as a tool to communicate her research findings as a Fisheries biologist.

She has been able to share knowledge on anthropogenic impact on Marine fisheries to the general public through writing research papers and articles for conversation of fish diversity.

Through the African Climate Fellowship, she applied her research skills in climate storytelling by collaborating with an illustrator and a poet in creating an animated poetry aimed at advocating for plastic waste recycling, single use plastics and sustainable materials alternatives to plastics.

Akassy is a young lady who started writing stories and poems around the age of 12. Since then, she has entered many poetry competitions and received various recognitions and awards for her works.

In 2018, she was among the 100 young Nigerians whose stories were published and launched in a book titled 'The Future'. In 2022, she was awarded 2nd place in the Dawn Project Initiative's poetry competition with the theme 'Recycle, Renew and Rebirth.’ Akassy was also interviewed by a major newspaper in Nigeria following that award.

She is passionate about societal impact and using poetry for worthy causes. She is an undergraduate student in medicine at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Labi Diya is a screenwriter and filmmaker passionate about honing and teaching his craft. He has a bachelor's degree in filmmaking from the Craft Film School India. He has trained over 200 youths from 2013 till date. He loves to tell stories in whatever way possible.

Perfect Johndick is from Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. She studied Religion and Culture (Education) in the University of Port Harcourt. She works as a Communications Assistant with “We the People” an NGO working to identify and project community’s stake in key social, economic and political considerations of the government and private companies.
Perfect is also a freelance Writer, Model, event compere and Singer.

Oyewo Richard is a student of Industrial Chemistry at the Federal University of Technology Akure. His passion lies in environmental sustainability and research. He is particularly interested in exploring renewable feedstocks and has been focusing on fields such as Biofuels, Biomass conversion, Environmental Assessment, and sustainability.
At a young age, he has managed to harness his intrinsic creativity and is the proud owner of a data analytics company that specializes in analyzing academic data for research purposes. His company aims to promote and recognize research within Africa, ensuring that it creates a significant impact through a data-driven approach.

In terms of achievements, I have been honored as a fellow of the prestigious 2022 FXB Climate Advocate program in New York City. He participated in the Aspire leadership program and his environmental sustainability project was recently recognized by Leap Africa. This project focused on virtual sensitization for the need for clean energy transition where he led a highly motivated group of 60 youth from across Nigeria for this project.

Onyinyechi is the founder of Clozetsales, a fashion resale marketplace that is focused on minimizing fashion waste, adopting and educating consumers on best sustainable practices to reduce the amount of clothes sent to the landfills, its environmental impact while promoting greater access to affordable and sustainable fashion, particularly for women.

Chikere Breakthrough Onyinyechi has a Bachelor's degree in Forestry and Environmental Management from University of Uyo, A certificate from the Wageningen University & Research in Circular Fashion: Design, Science and Value in Sustainable Clothing Industry.

She has been selected as one of the Top Future Females Entrepreneurs in Africa, Top 20 young Sustainable Solutions entrepreneurs by Weforgood Organization. An AFRICANXT speaker and she also won the 2022 YouTube Shorts Challenge.

Nosirat is a 300 level student of department of Botany, Lagos state university and an ambassador of Lagos state ministry of youth and social development.

She ventured into Board Game Design during the African Climate Stories Fellowship Program due to her interest in finding fun ways to pass environmental and climate change knowledge to her friends in the university campus.

She hopes to win seed funding through the fellowship program to enable her produce her board game to get to many more students in Lagos and beyond.

Dahiru is from Sokoto State Nigeria. He has experience working with community based organizations in Northern Nigeria in researching and finding ways to empower communities about clean water, sanitation and hygiene.

Egede Onyekachi Debby (Aka Kachi James) Is an optimist, a poet, TV and radio script writer. She's a Nigerian, and a Christian whose goal is to positively influence her society significantly. She sees the good in every situation which serves as a motivation for her to be an instrument of societal change.

Musa Isa Ahmed is a freelance Investigative Journalist working on deep investigative issues in Nigeria. He writes local stories with an international perspective some of which has been published on Premium Times. Musa is also a Fellow at Tiger Eye Foundation.

Mmesoma is a creative writer. She loves developing written content ranging from poetry, social media articles, blog articles, content plans, and more. Her love for writing came naturally as she would prefer to write than talk. She loves having healthy conversations and traveling around the country coupled with learning new languages even though she is not so fluent in most. She prides herself in knowing the basics of some languages in Nigeria.

She previously held the role of Regional Manager within the EKOEXCEL project, a groundbreaking government-private partnership initiative for all public schools in Lagos State. A writer, news reporter and youth advocate with Hope Generation Next Network. Through writing and video content creation, she creates awareness about pressing societal issues like environmental degradation, climate change and other social issues that makes attaining the sustainable development goals impossible.

Blessing Innocent is a graduate of mass communication. She serves as a news reporter for the New Telegraph newspaper. She loves to explore, gain knowledge and develop her skills. She applied for the African Climate Stories Fellowship because she wants to learn how to channel her skills to advocate for Climate Change and pollution free environment.

Victor Ayegba Mathew is an experienced environmental educator and climate change activist with over 8 years of dedicated involvement in raising awareness and inspiring action on environmental issues. He is known for his expertise in utilizing storytelling techniques and systems thinking to engage diverse audiences and foster a deep understanding of the interconnectedness between nature and human activities.

Victor Ayegba Mathew's passion for the environment and social justice began at a young age, leading him to pursue a career focused on environmental education and climate change activism. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Education.

As an environmental educator, victor has worked with various educational institutions such as EarthCharter International, Foundation For Environmental Education, MyZalu,, community organizations such as Ploggin Nigeria Club, and non-profit groups such as GreenFaith international and the Avalon project to develop and implement impactful environmental education programs. Kitgak Simon is a passionate advocate for climate justice and gender equity, utilizing the power of storytelling to drive positive change. With a background in environmental science and a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of social and environmental issues.

Growing up in a rural community, Kitgak witnessed firsthand the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities and ecosystems. This early exposure sparked a desire to address the urgent challenges posed by the climate crisis. Through extensive research, Kitgak developed a comprehensive understanding of the disproportionate impact of climate change on marginalized groups, particularly women and girls.

With a strong passion for environmental justice, gender equity, and storytelling, Kitgak is excited about the possibility of joining the African Climate Stories Fellowship. He looks forward to contributing his skills and expertise to the Fellowship, collaborating with fellow changemakers, and collectively advancing climate and gender justice on a global scale.

Deborah Akerele is a graduate of Geology from the University of Lagos. She is a Fashion waste recycler and the founder of VALOUREE FOUNDATION, a community based Non-governmental organization that is set out to reach out to youth in her community through which she has successfully reached out to over 1000 students. Being a content creator she has used her skill in promoting business and brands for organizations. And she has worked as a program officer with several organizations to help organize and manage their events, like African women in business Lagos chapter, ILead Academy where she acquired the knowledge and skill needed to build a successful brand. She is also an author of several books and also had her poems published in ‘Getlitnaija’ and HQ words poetry.
Through the African Climate stories fellowship, Deborah launched a book with a team member titled ``What has climate change got to do with fashion. They also won the African Climate Stories Impact Distribution pitch contest, and will be using the fund to distribute their book and train upcoming fashion waste recyclers in their community.

Future Ahiate is a web3 enthusiast, and an Agribusiness entrepreneur. He is dedicated to solving challenges of sustainable food production and global food security through innovative tech solutions like AI, Blockchain, IoT and robotics. Especially problems (affecting rural farmers) such as Post harvest loss and logistics, as he has a first hand experience of Farmers struggles. He believes this is the dawn of the Agricultural Revolution across Africa as envisages a transformation of the agriculture economy in Nigeria and across Africa.

David Arome is a public health professional and health writer whose work centers on public health, climate and environmental health, and investigative reporting on trending public health issues in Nigeria. David has received training in health reporting, investigative reporting, data journalism, and research. He also promotes the use of relevant data for information dissemination and increases access to health-related information. David also carried out investigative reporting using OSINT research techniques and fact-checking approaches in the delivery of authentic and reliable news to debunk misinformation and fake health news. David has received several grants, fellowships, and awards, including African Resilience Network grant, Wellspring ARN Investigative grant, SI4DEV grant, Gate-field fellowship, DEAL fellowship, and TAU student ambassadorship. In addition, David has published several research articles in publishing outfits and international journals.
